Strengths-Based Empowerment: Creating Space for Women to Lead as Themselves

Discover how the Strength in Women program helps women drop the pressure to perform, reconnect with their authentic selves, and lead with clarity, confidence, and sustainable impact.

The challenge

Many women in leadership carry an invisible weight. It’s the weight of showing up perfectly, being agreeable, leading assertively—but not too assertively. It’s the weight of emotional labor, self-doubt, and the quiet question that lingers in the back of their minds: “Am I allowed to do this my way?”

While companies have made strides in getting more women into senior roles, the deeper challenge remains: helping them lead authentically, not just successfully. That question lies at the heart of the Strength in Women program—a space designed to help women pause the pressure to perform, reflect on their patterns, and step forward with clarity and confidence.

The program doesn’t aim to “fix” women. It creates the conditions for them to see how they’ve been getting in their own way—and how small, strengths-based shifts can unlock meaningful, sustainable growth.

From lived insight to practical empowerment

The six elements of the program weren’t designed in theory—they emerged from lived experience. The structure was born from tools the facilitator herself needed at the time. Only after delivering the first cohort did she realize the content reflected exactly what she had been seeking.

This origin matters. Many participants recognize themselves in it. They are leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals across industries. Yet regardless of their titles, they face the same inner obstacles: overgiving, self-sabotage, and disconnection from what they truly need to thrive.

One of the most common realizations? “We are not alone.” The illusion that everyone else “has it together” dissolves in the shared space of the program. Emotional safety—built through peer connection, gentle reflection, and structured support—creates the foundation for genuine transformation.

Empowerment through strengths, not pressure

At the heart of the program lies strengths-based development. Each participant starts by exploring how she is wired to think, feel, and act—and how that wiring shapes her growth, stress, and decision-making patterns. For one woman, self-care might mean learning something new; for another, it might mean doing less. Recognizing these nuances allows each participant to build strategies that fit who she is, rather than who she’s told to be.

This personal insight is reinforced through technology. With the help of the e2grow platform, participants receive habit nudges, reflection prompts, short learning videos, and tailored exercises—delivered in a rhythm that supports lasting behavior change without overwhelming their daily lives.

“It helped me name what I couldn’t even articulate before,” one participant shared. “Suddenly I understood what was driving me, and what was draining me.”

Small shifts. Big impact.

The Strength in Women program focuses on sustainable change through small, meaningful shifts. There’s no pressure to radically reinvent yourself. Instead, women are invited to:

  • Understand how they get in their own way
  • Recognize outdated rules they’ve internalized
  • Build supportive habits aligned with their natural talents
  • Connect with others walking a similar path

Sessions are delivered live, with in-between touchpoints that reinforce learning and connection. Alumni from past cohorts are invited to return, creating continuity, mentorship, and a growing sense of community across time.

As the program evolves, it’s expanding into a new mixed-gender version—Resourceful Leadership—which adapts the same six elements for broader inclusion. The foundation remains the same: self-awareness, practical tools, and a space to explore who you are when the masks come off.

The coach behind the transformation

The Strength in Women program is designed and led by Pippa Dennitts, whose top strength—Learner—shapes her reflective, grounded approach to growth. Her philosophy is clear: empowerment should never come at the cost of self. It begins with understanding, deepens through gentle inquiry, and flourishes in community.

Pippa’s work is a reminder that women don’t need to become more like men to lead. They need spaces where they can lead as themselves. And that’s exactly what this program provides.
