FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 9, 2001
In a move to enhance its content offerings and database of potential users of the e2grow service, the management of e2grow, Inc., ("e2grow" or the "Company") has engaged Saltz, Shamis & Goldfarb's ("SS&G") New Economy Advisors practice to aid the Company in acquiring distressed Internet properties. e2grow has been in negotiations with a number of distressed Internet properties and considers this strategy a key component of its growth strategy.
"Given the troubling signs in the capital markets, we believe there is great value in assuming control of Internet properties that offer a solid brand, deep customer base and a revenue model that needs discipline," said Dennis Barba, Jr., Chairman and CEO of e2grow. "We have tremendous faith in our business model and have been very selective in discussions with those properties that can complement our services."
"Despite the tough financial conditions many of these Internet companies are struggling through, they still offer wonderful brand opportunities, considerable customer loyalty and an organizational structure that can easily be folded into the e2grow system," commented Barba.
"e2grow is well positioned to absorb a number of fledgling Internet properties while at the same time improving their position in the capital markets," noted Michael C. DeAloia with SS&G's New Economy Advisors practice.
Currently, e2gorw is serving the Solon, Chesterland, Auburn, Bainbridge, Reminderville, Russell, and Twinsburg communities in Ohio with community based web sites and e-business services. The e2grow advisory board includes representatives of Chevron, Xerox Corp., Sun Microsystems, Case Western Reserve and Columbia University.
